What can I say  |
The book is detailed and concise, although it does in places repeat itself.Overall the book is excelent, I also enrolled on a CBL course but without the book it wouldnt have been enough to pass the exam. Good work Microsoft

Badly written and very boring...  |
This book is boring and tedious, it over explains some subjects and totally under explains others, it repeats itself all the way through and if written properly would take up half the number of pages it does. Having read this book, I did not know anywhere near enough to pass the practise exams. This book is useful however, it goes into some subjects in detail and certainly helps in exam preparation. I had to read the MCSE for Dummies book as well, this was much easier to understand but probably is not enough on its own. This book is not cheap, and it could make it much easier, I would like to expect a lot better from Microsoft,

Ideal starting point for newcomers |

This is a very good book for those who are new to networking, or are weak in certain areas like me. I bought this because I was having a lot of trouble understanding the OSI model whilst studying for the MS Networking Essentials exam. This book really helped a lot, explaining the basics then going into detail. The style is fairly informal, but not in a "...For Dummies" way. Jargon-free, this is a very good buy.
